What am I, down to
one post a week now? Hoho. I want to keep updating you with lots of happenings in my life, but I either can't find the time or the internet on
Catch acts up.
Well, what's been happening? Nothing very interesting, I'll say. The highlights of this week was Year 9/10 going on their one week camp, me joining
Tindesley (sp?) tennis and me playing the guitar part of
Stand By Me for my house for
Clubs&Choirs.
I would return back from school to the boarding house with an empty mind. I do mean,
an empy mind. I don't think about anything. I don't remember anything. When a mistress asks me upon my return,
how was your day, Rae? I stand there wondering what my day was like and how I felt about it. Without fail, I never think of something to describe my day. It's not that I can never find a word. It's because I don't
know what to say.
So, after showing myself at the door on my return from school, I trudge my way to my bedroom, plonk my books and bag down, loosen my tie and untuck my shirt. From then on, the moment I loosen my tie or drop my bag, I live a
pointless 3 hours. I have nothing to do. I pick up the guitar, occasionally. Practice
In Christ Alone and
God Is Our Strength And Refuge for the upcoming
St Caths 150th Anniversary Cathedral Service next Sunday. Socialise with some other socialites down with the mistresses. It's nothing interesting or productive ('cept for the guitar practicing).
I heard that bird flu has arrived in
Kuala Lumpur. I'm a little worried at the thought of it. I just hope and hope every day that everyone I know who is having chicken for dinner or lunch or whatever has it cooked at the right temperature. Don't you find it strange that one single
BIRD can get sick, and then pass it on to another bird and another bird and so forth? It's a funny little concept, because birds literally
surround us. I quote
Juju, "They're infiltrating the system!" Oh, won't they! Before you know it, sick birds will govern us, humans, and we will be under another
Mao Revolution of communism. We will be forced to learn the millions of
bird dialect like
pigeon and
flamingo, and the history of the modern and ancient bird. Oh, can you imagine it?
You know,
The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald wasn't bad at all. I actually, in the end, sprouted a liking for the book. It's a great text of social commentary of the 1920s, and I think Fitzgerald did a great job. If you're looking for something deep and literature-like, check it out.
Battery on
Kwan's laptop is dying. I better be going.
Cheers.

I like to know what kind of music people listen to. It never fails to interest me. When someone tells me what kind of music they listen to, somehow, I can read a bit of their personality. It's a strange thing, but it kind of works for me anyhow.

I've been so busy with many things this week. Too busy to come on to
blogger to write an entry. I had to wake up at 6.30am twice, consequetively, for tennis training and band practice. Since I joined the tennis squad, I am committed to waking up on a Saturday morning for tennis games against other schools, and besides that, one hour training sessions held twice a week. Band practice consumes 135 minutes of my life in a week. That's not including my own practice time when I'm not at school. I joined two bands. No, actually, make that
three.
Senior Orchestra, Concert and
Jazz Band. Great!
On top of all those commitments, I am swamped with homework. Lesson after lesson, homework after homework, I sweep it all away during my many, many free (or study) periods. The remains are taken cared for in prep time back at the boarding house.
As you can tell by now, I have been
very busy. I hope that answers your
many and
desperate cries from you, my readers. ;)
I need to get back to my busy,
busy schedule. I've got to finish
The Great Gatsby and get sufficient sleep.
Cheers.

There is probably one thing I will wish for, tonight, on this
supposedly special day: my
iPod Nano to be returned in one piece.
Happy Birthday to me.
Cheers.

Fear not, dear
Raeville readers, I'm still alive. I only haven't been blogging for the past few days because I've just returned back to the
boarding house and I've been too busy to be bothered to get online and blog.
My first two days of being in
Year 11 have been
just fine. Everything feels so new, just like my very first day at school, which was last year. It feels like only yesterday when that happened. On my first day, I had
Biology,
Maths,
Ancient History and
two free/study periods. Everything was good. I suppose it's
good because it has only been two days. We'll see how things turn out.
This weekend, we were not allowed to go out or leave the boarding house. It was the
boarders weekend in program. It's this thing the mistresses organise to help build bonds between the boarders. They hold it every first weekend back. We watched
King Kong on Friday, which was ridiculous because we were originally planned to go to some theatre to watch this famous mime show.
King Kong was exhilarating! There were
dinosaurs and
huge-ass cockroaches and
sucking thingamabobs! If
King Kong was a human being, I'd have my eye on him. He's the sweetest ape around.
Yesterday (Saturday), a bunch of women came in to talk to us about girl confidence, how to use make-up properly and all that. It was pretty pointless, in my point of view. I didn't feel like it helped, but the women were awesome.
Today, we had a quick chapel service, and then we had a very tiring treasure hunt. During the treasure hunt, there was one point where we were running to our next destination and we were running into a barrier (just a chain strung from one pillar to the other). I saw one of my mates in front of my jump over the white chain, so me being the biggest smart ass in the world, thought,
hey, I'll do that too, just so I can speed up. When I reached the white chain, I jumped. My left leg got over, but my right leg didn't. My face flew straight down into the hard, wet ground and then my hands, and then the rest of my body. My glasses became loose and I was in so much pain from my shoulders down to my pelvis. I didn't want to hold my team back, so being the great person I am, I reluctantly got up and kept running. The pain make me feel like I had broken a few ribs or dislocated something. It was terrible.
In the end, we came in second place for that treasure hunt. We had a trivia quiz, which we won, later. Then I went to take out some junior students. And now I'm here.
Other than everything that has happened for the past few days, it's been good. Sydney's hot, but lately it's been quite cold, which is good.
I don't have anything else I want to blog about. Things are good, and that's that.
Cheers.
PS. Hope to be back online soon. I seem to forget about the WWW.
PPS. I am turning seventeen in four days.
